The M.S. in Nurse-Midwifery is a rigorous, 2 year, 4-semester program with summers off. You'll be automatically registered for your courses each term and progress through the program with your cohort, a group of supportive colleagues.
- Online—study at your own time and place
- Three required 3-4 day weekend intensives during the program
In the program, you'll earn a Master of Science. In order to practice as a certified nurse-midwife, you'll need to take a certifying board examination similar to the NCLEX exam you took to become a registered nurse.
We are currently in the pre-accreditation process and plan to be pre-accredited with the Accreditation Commission for Midwifery Education (8403 Colesville Rd., Suite 1550, Silver Spring, MD 20910; phone: 240.485.1802; www.midwife.org/Accreditation) spring 2014.
