Bethel is committed to serving you, the adult learner

You will be served in practical ways, including:

  • Admissions advisors who encourage applicants to reach their educational goals.
  • A single registration for the entire program.
  • Self-service online textbook ordering.
  • Being part of a cohort that supports and maximizes learning.
  • A calendar of class sessions for the program.
  • Financial aid and payment plans make financing your education possible.
  • Resources and Services.

The adult learning model capitalizes on the learner’s professional and life learning

In addition to instructors who have real-life experience, adult learners are significant contributors to the courses by capitalizing on and sharing their professional and life experiences. In this way, each person is enriched by the experiences of the group.

Emphasis is on ethical decision making

Bethel encourages the development of whole persons who are not only technically proficient, but are also capable of dealing with individual and social problems from a breadth of experience and understanding. Emphasis will be given to the recognition of ethical problems and sound moral decision making. Learners will have opportunity to integrate their faith with the learning.

As a Christian liberal arts institution, all programs at Bethel are developed in ways that reflect both the Christian and the liberal arts dimensions of the university. Although being a Christian is not a requirement for admission to the College of Adult & Professional Studies or Graduate School, Christian perspectives are explored throughout the programs. The programs are designed for all who are willing to be educated within this environment.
