Graduate School
Complete a license in coordinating work-based educational opportunities for high school students. This nine-credit graduate-level license program will give you the credentials you need to guide high school students in work-based learning programs. This license is for grades 9-12. The Teacher Coordinator of Work-Based Learning license program will consider applicants who:

Tuition is $425 per credit (September 2009- August2010)
Tuition is charged on a per-credit basis and varies based on the program of study. Tuition is billed to student accounts once students have been registered for their courses. Full payment is due at the beginning of each course. Statements of student accounts are printed and mailed each month to students. Current charges, as well as future charges, are included on the monthly billing statements. A finance charge of one percent per month is assessed on any charge more than 30 days old.
EDUC705 • History and Advancement of Work-Based Learning (2 credits)
Study of the history and progress of work-based learning. Examination of the federal and state legislation that applies to the field. Knowledge and tools that teacher coordinators will use to turn students' work experiences into meaningful learning experiences. One of three courses needed for the Teacher Coordinator of Work-Based Learning License. Learners must successfully complete this course before taking EDUC709.
EDUC707 • Designing School-Based Instruction for Work-Based Learning Programs (3 credits)
Learners design instruction for work-based programs that connects students' school experiences to the world of work. Current employment trends. The role of human resources in an organization. Career and technical student organizations. One of three courses needed for the Teacher Coordinator of Work-Based Learning License. Learners must successfully complete this course before taking EDUC709.
EDUC709 • Implementing and Monitoring Work-Based Learning Programs (4 credits)
Tools teacher coordinators will use to implement work-based learning. Monitoring programs. Collaborating with the community, employers, school officials, and parents. Reporting to state and other agencies. Employment laws. One of three courses needed for the Teacher Coordinator of Work-Based Learning License. Prerequisites: EDUC705, EDUC707
