Rodney "Bud" Becker, M.A.BUD BECKER holds a B.A. from Wheaton College and an M.A. from the University of Illinois. For the past 18 years, he has been teaching as an adjunct professor both at the University of St. Thomas and Saint Mary’s University in Minneapolis, Minn. This teaching experience followed 28 years with Control Data Corporation. During his years with Control Data, Bud established and managed human resource departments in several CDC domestic and European operations. The Beckers have lived in Paris and Brussels. As vice president of international human resources, he was responsible for human resources outside the United States. Later, as vice president of internal data processing, Bud held staff responsibilities for management information systems and office automation functions. Prior to his early retirement from CDC, he managed Control Data's computer technology seminar business throughout the United States. Bud was one of the founders of Human Capital Corporation where he was vice president of curriculum development. Human Capital owned and operated 15 vocational training schools throughout the United States. Professor Becker has served as an expert witness in a landmark international expatriation lawsuit and on the Board of Directors of Minnehaha Academy, Eagle Ridge Charter School, and Urban Hope Ministries. Tom Correll, M.Div.TOM CORRELL is Pastor of Wooddale Worldwide at Wooddale Church in Eden Prairie, Minn. He joined the pastoral staff in January of 1995 after many years of lay leadership at Wooddale Church. Tom’s passion and interest, both as a lay leader and as a pastor, is in cross-cultural ministries. |
Erica Diehn, M.A.ERICA DIEHN has worked for several Fortune 500 companies including Eaton, Microsoft, and General Mills and held progressive positions in the U.S. and abroad in the United Kingdom and Denmark. She has also studied in Belgium and travelled to 21 countries (and counting!), which continues to develop her lifelong pursuit of cross-cultural learning. Erica’s international business experience involved merging an acquired company, emphasizing her commitment to help organizations and leaders implement best practices in management, employee development, and strategic talent management and planning.
Erica received a master's degree in Human Resources and Industrial Relations from the University of Minnesota, where she currently continues her progress toward a Ph.D. in the Carlson School of Management, along with research and teaching responsibilities. Denise Fleming, MBADENISE FLEMING has more than 18 years of professional experience in health care administration and operations. She served as a group practice and hospital administrator at the University of Michigan for 11 years, where she gained extensive experience in physician practice and clinic staff management, strategic planning, hospital and ambulatory care operations, human resources, program implementation, and systems management. |

Steve Fredlund, FSA, MAAA, MBASTEVE FREDLUND holds a B.A. in

Tedi Ann Hasapopoulos, MBA, M.Div.TEDI ANN HASAPOPOULOS comes to Bethel’s MBA program with over 20 years of experience in Marketing and Marketing Research. Her expertise is in new product development and strategic planning. She was involved in a number of new product launches for General Mills during her 12 year career with there. She later served General Mills and many other consumer product firms as a consultant specializing in qualitative marketing research. She has been an adjunct instructor for the University of Minnesota’s Carlson School of Management and the University of St. Thomas. She holds a BBA from University of Iowa and MBA from Carlson School of Management.
Tedi Anne also earned a Master of Divinity degree from Bethel Seminary. She is a missionary in the Twin Cities and pastors a home-based congregation in Crystal. GAVIN HOUSE holds a B.A. and M.S.S (Master of Software Systems) from the University of St. Thomas and an M.A. in Organizational Leadership from Bethel University. He teaches undergraduate courses in the College of Adult & Professional Studies and graduate courses in the Graduate School at Bethel University. Gavin has been an adjunct instructor since 2007. Besides being an adjunct instructor, Gavin owns and operates a small business specializing in technological organization and efficiency. Gary Johnsen, M.A.GARY JOHNSEN is a Senior Managing Consultant for IBM. He works in the Human Capital Management practice focusing on
designing and
developing integrated, innovative human capital management solutions,
HR service delivery models, and HR ERP systems in HR strategy and
transformation, learning solutions, work and knowledge collaboration

He is the former director of operations at Creative Metric, a strategic

Joel Johnson, D.Min.JOEL JOHNSON moved to Chanhasssen with his family in 1995 to start Westwood Church. Previous to Westwood, he served on staff at Wooddale Church for 15 years where he helped to oversee the strategic plan for startingfor 15 years new churches. The Johnsons have seen many people come to Christ and the church has grown beyond their expectations. |
Tom Judson, M.A.TOM JUDSON is the co-director of the MBA program and the director of the B.A. Business Management program. Also a professor, he teaches research methods and statistics, and operations management in the MBA program.
Tom has 30 years of industry experience, including executive positions, and heads his own consulting company, Judson Research & Associates, LLC. He has added value to the fields of media research, defense, education, and aerospace. Tom’s original research has been published and he has presented at numerous conferences.
Prior to joining Bethel University and in parallel with his career in industry, Tom taught at the graduate level in traditional classroom settings and online environments. He earned his bachelor’s degree from Lafayette College in Easton, Penn., and his master’s degree from Lehigh University in Bethlehem, Penn.

Duncan McCampbell, J.D.Duncan is a U.S. lawyer and an international business start-up specialist. In the course of building and managing new online information businesses in the U.S. and several European and Asian countries, he has lived and worked over the last decade in such culturally and geographically diverse places as London, England and Beijing, China. Duncan is Bethel's lead faculty on the Capstone business plan course, where he shares proven methods for understanding markets, identifying and measuring commercial opportunity, securing funding, and building sustainable, ethical business operations. Mark McCloskey, Ph.D.MARK McCLOSKEY currently serves as the dean of the Center for Transformational Leadership, lead faculty for the Master of Arts in Transformational Leadership, and professor of Ministry Leadership at Bethel Seminary. He holds a B.A. degree from Miami University and an M.Div. from Bethel Seminary. Mark earned his Ph.D. at the University of South Florida in the College of Education, Department of Leadership Development. His focus of study was organizational leadership, adult education, and research and measurement. |
Elaine Miller, Ph.D.Elaine Hogan Miller has a Ph.D. in Health Promotion and Disease Prevention and Research Methods from the University of Illinois, Chicago and is a registered nurse. She has practiced nursing and taught nursing, research and statistics. For the last twelve years she has directed research in not-for-profit (health care system) and for-profit (medical device industry) settings. Her two passions are research and patient care. Ray Miller, M.S.RAY MILLER has 20 years of experience in both for-profit and not-for-profit organizational growth. Areas of success include clarifying corporate vision and strategy; coaching CEOs and managing directors to set and achieve goals; setting up accountability structures; and screening potential hires. Carol Nissen, M.A., PMP
Carol Nissen is currently employed by Bethel University as Director of Administration for the College of Adult & Professional Studies and Graduate School (CAPS/GS). Her responsibilities include management of the team responsible for orientations and commencement, management of program calendars, and facilities management. She is a member of the CAPS/GS management team.
Prior to her role at Bethel, Carol was employed as the project portfolio manager for Carlson Hotels. As a Six Sigma Black Belt, she managed several large projects for the hotel group, including the deployment of the Enterprise Resource Planning system, the implementation of an electronic customer feedback system, and the deployment of the hotel group’s first balanced scorecard. During her time at Carlson Hotels, Carol also served as a business analyst, manager of the computer support desk, and computer training specialist.
Carol holds a BS degree from Iowa State University, an MA in Communication, and a Postsecondary Teaching Certificate from Bethel University, and she is certified as a Project Management Professional (PMP) by the Project Management Institute.

Dale Nugent, MBA, M.A.Dale Nugent is the Founder and President of D3 Advisors, LLC, a management consulting firm specializing in new product development, operations, strategy, and acquisitions consulting. Prior to D3 Advisors, Mr. Nugent was Chairman and CEO of RivaTek, Inc., a privately held corporation providing instrumentation to semiconductor equipment manufacturers. He has also been VP and General Manager at Wavecrest Corporation. He started his career at the Rosemount Division of Emerson Electric, a Fortune 500 company. There he had a series of assignments in Operations and Marketing culminating in his position as Business Unit Director for MagFlow products.
He has led complex global business activities including strategic configuration and continual improvement of operations. He enjoys being the champion for new products from concept through introduction and including production ramp-up. He has traveled extensively in the Americas, Asia and Europe, launching new sites, coordinating global operations, and developing key relationships to expand business in new geographies.
Mr. Nugent is a Mechanical Engineer from the University of Minnesota. He has an MBA and Masters degree in Manufacturing Engineering from Northwestern University in Illinois. Donna Peterson, M.S.DONNA PETERSON has over 20 years of experience working with businesses in Minnesota on environmental issues. Most of this experience came while she worked at the Minnesota Technical Assistance Program (MnTAP) at the University of Minnesota. At MnTAP, she helped individual companies identify opportunities for maximizing efficiencies in materials use and with that reducing pollution and waste. This work included supervising student intern projects, writing grants for projects to benefit industry groups, and presenting educational seminars and workshops. Teri Roberts, MBATERI ROBERTS owns and operates a professional services firm established in 1998 providing accounting, financial, bookkeeping, and consulting services. Teri opted to begin her own business to allow flexible time for her family after working for twenty years in various accounting positions including assistant controller, controller/data processing manager and manager of accounting for small firms and publicly held Fortune 500 companies such as Florida Rock Industries and Loral (Lockheed Martin). Teri currently provides services for small- to medium-sized clients in the restaurant, professional environmental services, retail, marine, nonprofit, and legal markets. Teri holds an MBA from the University of North Florida in Jacksonville. She earned a B.S. degree in business administration, accounting major from Samford University in Birmingham, Alabama. She is a Florida native and currently lives in Palmetto, Florida with her husband, Stanley, who is in public education. They have two daughters in college. John Sommerville, M.B.A, M.S.JOHN SOMMERVILLE holds a B.A. from the University of Kansas, an M.B.A from Indiana University, and an M.A. in Philosophy of Religion from Bethel Seminary.
John is the founding pastor of City Church in Minneapolis. From 1997-2005 he was the Executive Director of Wooddale Center, a ministry to churches and church leaders at Wooddale Church in Eden Prairie, Minnesota. Prior to joining the staff at Wooddale Church, he was an executive at General Mills, holding a number of marketing and market research positions including Marketing Manager for Cheerios ($300 million in P & L responsibility) and the European head of new product development for Cereal Partners Worldwide, a joint venture between General Mills and Nestlé.
John frequently consults with churches and church leaders on a variety of ministry leadership issues. Currently he serves on the board of Christianity Today and is the past Chair of the Board of Trustees of InterVarsity Christian Fellowship. In addition, John is a contributor to Leadership Journal and BuildingChurchsLeaders.com, a website which provides support for pastors and church leaders.

Kitty Stearns, MBAKITTY STEARNS completed
her B.A. in Business Management and MBA at Bethel University. She has
been with the Valspar Corporation since 1996 with various roles in
the supply chain arena. Her focus has been primarily in the
purchase-to-pay supply chain, with roles in managing transportation,
warehousing and purchasing. She also managed payables and payroll for
the US. She has also been involved in and led many projects to optimize
the
supply chain to lower costs in a competitive industry. She also
co-owned a small business, North Country Meats in Coon Rapids, where
she managed the administrative side of the business. She is currently a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt, focusing on transactional
projects in the Shared Services area. She is also involved in training and
coaching for Lean Six Sigma at Valspar. South Minneapolis and has three children who have spread out across the country. |
Charles Stroud, MBA, CPACHARLES STROUD earned his BA from Mt. Vernon Nazarene University in Ohio. After college he took a position in the Entrepreneurial Services Group at Ernst & Young in Cleveland, Ohio, specializing in merger and acquisition planning. He then worked for Moody Bible Institute in Chicago as a manager in various financial areas including several years in the publishing division. He earned his MBA at Bethel University, where he works as Controller for the Bethel University Foundation. He married his college sweetheart over 20 years ago, and together they have two daughters. |

Scott Yorkovich, D.S.L.SCOTT YORKOVICH began his career as a technology consultant, first working in a mid-sized regional company. In 1991 he ventured out on his own and continued that work. As his expertise in tying technology solutions to organizational goals and strategies grew, he also recognized a tremendous need among leaders for guidance in leadership and organizational development. After earning master of arts and doctorate degrees, he re-oriented his work specifically for leadership and organization development consulting. Since 2005, Scott has also worked as an adjunct professor, teaching courses in business foundations, strategy, operations management, organizational behavior, and organizational development. Scott's current work focuses on organizational alignment, assessment and leadership development, succession management, and teams. He has a B.S. in Psychology (North Dakota State University), M.A. in Organizational Leadership (Regent University), and Doctor of Strategic Leadership (Regent University).
