Bud Becker, M.A.
BUD BECKER holds a B.A. from Wheaton College and an M.A. from the University of Illinois. For the past 18 years, he has been teaching as an adjunct professor both at the University of St. Thomas and Saint Mary’s University in Minneapolis, Minn. This teaching experience followed 28 years with Control Data Corporation. During his years with Control Data, Bud established and managed human resource departments in several CDC domestic and European operations.
The Beckers have lived in Paris and Brussels. As vice president of international human resources, he was responsible for human resources outside the United States. Later, as vice president of internal data processing, Bud held staff responsibilities for management information systems and office automation functions. Prior to his early retirement from CDC, he managed Control Data's computer technology seminar business throughout the United States. Bud was one of the founders of Human Capital Corporation where he was vice president of curriculum development. Human Capital owned and operated 15 vocational training schools throughout the United States.
Professor Becker has served as an expert witness in a landmark international expatriation lawsuit and on the Board of Directors of Minnehaha Academy, Eagle Ridge Charter School, and Urban Hope Ministries. He now serves as a leader in a local job transition support group.

Mark Coronna, M.S.
MARK CORONNA holds an M.S. in Education from the University of Wisconsin at Madison and is currently a senior marketing executive at Wolters Kluwer Financial Services in Minneapolis, Minn. His responsibilities include product management, market segment management, and marketing communications.
Mark has a positive track record of business development, including the building of new online businesses, with corporations such as Deluxe, Gelco Information Network, Marks & Crown LLC, and U.S. Ban. His broad business experience is combined with technology management expertise resulting in the use of technology to create new products and to develop new markets.

Tom Correll, M.Div.
TOM CORRELL is Pastor of Wooddale Worldwide at Wooddale Church in Eden Prairie, Minn. He joined the pastoral staff in January of 1995 after many years of lay leadership at Wooddale Church. Tom’s passion and interest, both as a lay leader and as a pastor, is in cross-cultural ministries.
Under Tom’s leadership, hundreds of people have set aside personal time for ministry; some traveling overseas, some working in the Twin Cities. Prior to joining the staff of Wooddale Church, Tom spent over 25 years in the computer industry, including a three-year assignment as Control Data’s country executive in South Africa for consulting and software services.
Tom is a 1965 graduate of the University of Michigan with a B.S. in Mathematics, and in 2000 he earned a Master of Divinity degree from Bethel Seminary in St. Paul, Minn. Tom and his wife Claire have four adult children.

Dan Dye, B.A.
DAN DYE is president of Cargill AgHorizons, a business unit that delivers solutions to farm customers and is responsible for Cargill’s grain handling and retail crop input business in the interior U.S. Dan has been with Cargill for 25 years and has worked in a variety of trading, management, and leadership roles in Canada and the U.S.
Dan graduated from Bethel University in 1981 with a B.A. in Business Administration and Economics. He has served for eight years on the Board of Trustees of Northwestern College and Radio and 10 years as Chairman of the Leadership Board of Westwood Community Church in Chanhassen, Minn. He is also involved in numerous industry associations such as the Board of Agriculture Future of America and the Chicago Board of Trade.

Lyndi Finibrock, MLIS
LYNDI FINIFROCK has served as the reference and instruction librarian at Bethel University since 2004. She develops and teaches library and information literacy instruction, manages content on the library website, plans library events, and supervises student workers.
Before graduate school, Lyndi spent two years as a Peace Corps volunteer in Russia, teaching English. She holds a bachelor’s degree in sociocultural studies with a minor in English literature, as well as a master’s degree in library and information studies (MLIS) from the University of Wisconsin–Madison.

Denise Fleming, MBA
DENISE FLEMING has more than 18 years of professional experience in health care administration and operations. She served as a group practice and hospital administrator at the University of Michigan for 11 years, where she gained extensive experience in physician practice and clinic staff management, strategic planning, hospital and ambulatory care operations, human resources, program implementation, and systems management.
Since 2002, Denise has worked extensively as both a design consultant and a facilitator, developing health care and education leadership programs for a nonprofit foundation in Minnesota. Denise currently serves as an adjunct faculty member at Bethel University and is lead instructor for two courses in the College of Adult & Professional Studies program: BUS400 Accounting for Managers and BUS640 Economics and Finance for Nursing.

Paul Floyd, J.D.
PAUL FLOYD is a licensed attorney who is practicing business law in the Minneapolis law firm of Wallen-Friedman & Floyd, P.A. He has been practicing law in Minnesota for more than 20 years, having graduated from William Mitchell College of Law in 1983.
Paul had the privilege of working in two well-respected Minneapolis law firms, Arthur Chapman and Fruth & Anthony, before starting his own law firm nine years ago. He concentrates on areas such as establishing and advising businesses, drafting and negotiating sales and service contracts, and advising law firms on ethical business disputes. Paul is an active speaker on legal issues at business forums and conferences, and his articles and papers have appeared in legal magazines and journals.
Prior to attending law school, Paul graduated from Bethel Seminary with a Master of Divinity degree. In 2000, Paul took a sabbatical from his practice of law and returned to Bethel Seminary for two years of graduate studies in the Marriage and Family Therapy program. W. F. “Duke” Fuehrer, Ph.D.
DUKE FUEHRER began his career in education as a technical school instructor, then president of a technical institute/college. Later, he worked as director of Minnesota’s Curriculum Articulation Center and as associate professor at Michigan State University. Duke has published articles and written book chapters on education and business.
Duke moved from the field of education to business, where he has held positions as director of organization development, director of human resources, vice president of human resources, vice president of administration, president, and as group executive with responsibilities for several multinational companies. His responsibilities in the business world have taken him to Africa, Asia, Europe, Mexico, and South America. Since his exit from full-time work in business and industry, Duke has provided consulting assistance to companies in the United States and Europe, and has been teaching graduate and undergraduate courses for various universities. Duke holds a Ph.D. from Illinois State University.

Bob Galligan, MBA
BOB GALLIGAN has 24 years of business experience as an owner, executive manager and director in construction equipment, industrial engine and parts, materials handling equipment, and international purchasing/exporting businesses.
After his active business career, he became a member of the faculty at Grand View College in Des Moines, and was an adjunct faculty instructor at the graduate level at Upper Iowa University in Des Moines and National University in San Diego.
During this time, Bob also conducted numerous seminars and was a consultant to many organizations in the areas of financial management and analysis, business and strategic planning, statistical process control and TQM/Deming Principles of Management Transformation. He assisted and conducted programs for health care, banking, governmental, military, insurance, professional services, printing and light manufacturing groups. He has served as a director on various corporate boards and has been actively involved in community service and charitable activities.

Carol E. Gilson, B.A., M.M.A., C.C.P.
CAROL GILSON is vice president of Human Resources and Client Services for EMPO Corporation. She holds a B.A. in Business Administration and a Master of Management and Administration from Metropolitan State University and has a Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) designation from World at Work. She frequently takes guest speaking engagements for professional organizations and has published articles for business journals, newsletters and newspapers.
As a college instructor of human resources, communication and other business disciplines, she has served as an adjunct instructor at St. Paul College, Concordia University, Bethel University Graduate School and the Carlson School of Management at the University of Minnesota. She brings over 25 years of business, human resources and leadership experience to her teaching. Jim Green, MBA
JIM GREEN is the president and CEO of Kemps LLC in Minneapolis, Minn. where he provides leadership for marketing dairy and ice cream products throughout the Upper Midwest. He is also responsible for meeting financial expectations of Kemps parent company, National Dairy, Dallas, Texas, as well as the annual operating plan performance and five-year strategic forecast. Prior to Kemps, Jim served as president of two other corporations: Crowley Frozen Desserts in Lancaster, Penn., and Green’s Dairy, Inc. in York, Penn.

JEFF HAGEN has a B.S. in Education from the University of Minnesota, and an M.Div. from Bethel Seminary. Jeff is currently the founder and president of Hill Cities, Inc., and president of Twin Cities Workplace Ministries.

Dan Hanlon, MBA
DAN HANLON is a partner in the firm of Union Hill Ventures, and is an executive and entrepreneur experienced with Fortune 500 companies and launching young enterprises with limited resources. He has procured capital in excess of $100 million for pre-revenue companies, listed on 13 patents, and has held executive level positions in private and public companies, including Chairman and CEO.
Dan has varied career experiences including the publicly held companies of Pillsbury, EcoLab, and Honeywell, and also private companies with over a billion dollars in assets. Skilled in drafting and executing business plans, he has launched several companies, taking one public with a market capitalization of $250 million. He has participated in radio talk shows, television news and print media, was featured in the Wall Street Journal, USA Today, London Times, LA Times, Chicago Tribune, Orlando Sentinel, Inc., GQ, Robb Report, CNBC, ABC, and CBS.
A Minnesota native, he grew up in a fifth-generation family farming business, and attended vocational school in automotive technician. Tedi Anne Hasapopoulos, MBA, M.Div.
TEDI ANNE HASAPOPOULOS comes to the Bethel MBA program with over 20 years of experience in marketing and marketing research. Her expertise is in new product development and strategic planning.
Tedi Anne was involved in a number of new product launches during her 12-year career with General Mills. She later served General Mills and many other consumer product firms as a consultant specializing in qualitative marketing research. She has been an adjunct instructor for the University of Minnesota’s Carlson School of Management and the University of St. Thomas.
Tedi Anne holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Iowa, and an MBA from the Carlson School of Management. She is also a recent graduate of Bethel Seminary where she earned a Master of Divinity degree. She is a missionary in the Twin Cities and pastors a home-based congregation in Crystal. Sam Helgerson, A.B.D.
SAM HELGERSON is the owner of Envoy Editorial Services, and he has been teaching at Bethel University since 2002, first as an adjunct professor and now as a teaching partner. He serves as co-director of faculty development in the College of Adult & Professional Studies and Graduate School. Sam is pursuing a Ph.D. in Adult and Postsecondary Education at Capella University.
In his 20 years of experience in the business world, Sam has served as a writer, editor, and consultant. He has worked as a consultant in business processes, training development, and communications. for companies such as 3M, Best Buy, Delphax Technologies, Green Giant, U.S. Bank, and others. Gary Johnsen, M.A.
GARY JOHNSEN is the director of operations at Creative Metric, a strategic talent management consulting organization helping companies turn talent strategies into business results. He also is a licensed psychologist for the State of Minnesota. At Creative Metrics he is responsible for the overall delivery of client solutions, training, and programs to organizations.
Prior to joining Creative Metrics, Gary was the director of the United Health Group’s Optum employee assistance program, focusing on workplace training, performance improvement, psychological workplace issues, management consultation, and critical incident stress debriefings. He was also the global director for Volt Services and managed the contingent worker program at 3M. He is trained in PMI project management methodology and trained in Six Sigma. He is currently focused on researching best practices for performance management, 360 feedback and organizational surveys.

Joel Johnson, D.Min.
JOEL JOHNSON moved to Chanhasssen with his family in 1995 to start Westwood Church. Previous to Westwood, he served on staff at Wooddale Church for 15 years where he helped to oversee the strategic plan for startingfor 15 years new churches. The Johnsons have seen many people come to Christ and the church has grown beyond their expectations.
Joel's primary responsibilities are leadership and preaching. He is surrounded by gifted staff and lay leadership who serve with a high level of commitment and excellence and who want to give their best to God.

Tom Judson, M.A.
TOM JUDSON is the program director of the B.A. in Business Management program and a professor in the MBA program at Bethel University. He teaches graduate level courses in research methods and statistics, and in operations management.
Tom has 30 years of industry experience, including executive positions, and heads his own consulting company, Judson Research & Associates, LLC. He has added value to the fields of media research, defense, education, and aerospace. Tom’s original research has been published and he has extensive experience as a presenter and keynote speaker.
Prior to joining Bethel University and in parallel with his career in industry, Tom taught at the graduate level in traditional classroom settings and online environments. Bob Kistler, Ph.D.
BOB KISTLER is the lead faculty technology consultant at Bethel University in St. Paul, Minn. Bob works with management, implementation, and training for all teaching and learning technologies used in university academic programs. He holds a Ph.D. in Ecology (Zoology) from Northern Arizona University, an M.S. in Population Ecology (Biology) from Purdue University, and a B.A. in Biology from George Fox University.
Prior to his faculty consultant role, Bob taught as a full-time professor in the Department of Biological Sciences at Bethel University from 1986 until 2001. In this role he developed the Environmental Studies program, taught courses in Ecology, Aquatic Biology, Environmental Science, and Environmental Stewardship, and designed the Environmental Studies Laboratory at Bethel.

David Klenk, MBA
DAVID KLENK is an adjunct instructor in the Bethel University MBA program, where he teaches business ethics. David has also taught many other courses at Bethel in the undergraduate business management and organizational leader-ship programs. In addition, he has extensive operations and finance experience, most recently serving as president and COO of August Technology Corporation, a company that merged with Rudolph Technologies in early 2006.
At August Technology, David was instrumental in the growth of the company, serving as the director of operations, COO, and finally as president. He was a key member of the start-up executive team responsible for vision, strategy, and execution of the organizational business plan.

Steve Lane, MBA
STEVE LANE, CPA, MBA, has 15 years of progressive experience in accounting, corporate finance, and investment management. Steve is currently the vice president of corporate debt for Advantus Capital Management, and the institutional asset manager of Minnesota Life Insurance Company in St. Paul, Minn. His responsibilities include the recommendation and monitoring of corporate bonds for portfolio managers of Advantus in the electric utility, natural gas pipeline, and health care sectors of the market.
Steve is also teaching financial accounting and managerial finance for the MBA and master’s programs at the Keller Graduate School of Management of DeVry University in St. Louis Park. Jim Louwsma, MBA
JIM LOUWSMA worked for 28 years for Procter & Gamble, mainly in sales and marketing roles. He holds a bachelor’s degree in sociology from Wheaton College in Wheaton, Ill., and an MBA from the University of Utah.
After college, Jim joined the U.S. Navy and served as a naval aviator for five years. He also served for eight years in the Reserves.
In January 2004, Jim retired from his leadership role at Procter & Gamble. Since then, he has been involved in the Academy of Ministry Leadership providing leadership training to ministry leaders, the MBA program at Bethel University, as well as economic development in Mozambique, Africa.

Dave Lowe, MBA
DAVE LOWE is the executive director at Edinbrook Church in Brooklyn Park, Minn. He joined the staff at Edinbrook in 2005 after many years as a senior financial executive in the Twin Cities business community. His passion is to use his gifts and leadership experience to help grow and improve the ministries of Edinbrook Church.
Dave earned his B.A. in Accounting from the University of Northern Iowa (UNI), and his MBA from the University of St. Thomas. Mark McCloskey, Ph.D.
MARK McCLOSKEY currently serves as the dean of the Center for Transformational Leadership, lead faculty for the Master of Arts in Transformational Leadership, and professor of Ministry Leadership at Bethel Seminary. He holds a B.A. degree from Miami University and an M.Div. from Bethel Seminary. Mark earned his Ph.D. at the University of South Florida in the College of Education, Department of Leadership Development. His focus of study was organizational leadership, adult education, and research and measurement.
Mark has served on the Board of the Christian Legal Society and Christian Conciliation Service of Minnesota, and the Governing Board and Board of Directors of the Urban Leadership Academy. He consults with businesses and nonprofit organizations in the area of executive development, strategic planning, and team building.

Ray Miller, M.S.
RAY MILLER has 20 years of experience in both for-profit and not-for-profit organizational growth. Areas of success include clarifying corporate vision
and strategy; coaching CEOs and managing directors to set and achieve goals; setting up accountability structures; and screening potential hires. Ray also has cross-cultural experience in business and in educational institutions. He is a certified trainer in personality DISC inventory. In addition, Ray has served as president and CEO of Fellowship of Companies for Christ, CEO of International and Central Security Mutual Insurance Company, CFO at Trinity Evangelical Divinity School, and as a board member of five different organizations.

Carol Nissen, B.S., M.A.
CAROL NISSEN is currently employed as the project portfolio manager for Carlson Hotels. As a Six Sigma Black Belt, she has managed several large projects for the hotel group, including the recent deployment of the Enterprise Resource Planning system, the implementation of an electronic customer feedback system, and the deployment of the hotel group’s first balanced scorecard. During her time at Carlson Hotels, Carol has also served as a business analyst, manager of the computer support desk, and computer training specialist.
Carol holds a B.S. from Iowa State University, an M.A. in Communication from Bethel University, and a Postsecondary Teaching Certificate from Bethel University. She received facilitation training through the Institute of Cultural Affairs and has completed numerous leadership and management classes.

Paul Olson, Ed.D.
PAUL L. H. OLSON holds an Ed.D. in Education Management from the University of Pennsylvania and is one of the founding executive officers of Sterling Commerce, Inc., a major pacesetter in global e-commerce. Paul has played a significant executive role in more than a dozen acquisitions and major joint ventures with companies in Australia, Europe, Japan, India, and North America.
Paul served with the Minnesota Vikings as a front office executive and consultant to the NFL office. His combined experience as an NFL player and his business know-how resulted in being an early innovator in the use of information technology for game analysis and strategy. Paul also launched two software and services businesses.
Currently, Paul is executive vice president for institutional advancement at Bethel University. He is a board member and advisor for several companies and non-profit organizations. Paul and his wife Pam have three children.

Ramon Pastrano, M.A.
RAMON PASTRANO is the president and founder of ImpactLives and ImpactLives Consulting Group. Ramon has more than 25 years of experience working among different cultures, and several years of experience leading cross-cultural and transformational leadership events. His 15 years of experience as a medical sales and marketing consultant have earned him recognition from companies like Pfizer Inc., Medtronic, and Warner Lambert. Bill Paxton, M.S.
BILL PAXTON holds a B.A. in Theology from the University of Dayton, and an M.S. in Management from Cardinal Stritch University.
In 1999, Bill founded The Manager’s Dream to help business owners resolve their frustration with employee-related problems. Prior to that, Bill had P/L responsibility for the local branch of Analysts International, a software services firm. This experience of managing a $52 million operation gives him the empathy and experience to relate to both frontline supervisors and CEOs. With more than 25 years of business experience, he has earned a reputation for helping managers gain more confidence, more success, and more influence.

Donna Peterson, M.S.
DONNA PETERSON has over 20 years of experience working with businesses in Minnesota on environmental issues. Most of this experience came while she worked at the Minnesota Technical Assistance Program (MnTAP) at the University of Minnesota. At MnTAP, she helped individual companies identify opportunities for maximizing efficiencies in materials use and with that reducing pollution and waste. This work included supervising student intern projects, writing grants for projects to benefit industry groups, and presenting educational seminars and workshops. The work with individual companies on environmental issues provides great expertise and background on environmental perspectives for business.

John Rudberg, MBA
JOHN RUDBERG has worked throughout his 33-year career in the areas of accounting and information technology. He is currently the director of financial reporting systems for Cargill, Inc. John’s other Cargill experiences include product line controller of the worldwide steel trading division, department manager of the common financial systems department, and various other accounting and information technology responsibilities.
John prepared himself for this career by earning a bachelor of science degree majoring in accounting and computer science, and an MBA. In addition, John holds CMA and CPA certifications.
John has seven years of teaching experience with Bethel University. He has taught management and accounting courses in the College of Arts & Sciences, and various courses in the College of Adult & Professional Studies. John and his wife Brenda have five children who are all in college.

Russ Sinkler, M.P.A.
RUSS SINKLER holds a B.A. in Administration of Criminal Justice from the University of Illinois at Chicago, an M.P.A. in Public Administration from Illinois Institute of Technology (IIT) in Chicago, and an Advanced Graduate Certificate in Global Business and Culture from the University of Denver in Colorado. He also completed several executive development programs in sales, marketing, and leadership from the Darden Graduate School of the University of Virginia, Carlson School of Management of the University of Minnesota, and the Wharton Graduate School of Management at the University of Pennsylvania.
Russ currently serves key clients of Ingenix®, Eden Prairie Minn., as a senior business client executive in the Account Management Division. In 1995, Russ founded The Clarity Group® to help organizations improve the effectiveness and efficiency of their human resources, change management discipline, governance systems, and work processes. Russ has also served as a group director for US WEST Communications, a market vice president for Herrick Douglass Technology Consulting, and a regional vice president of sales for Wilson Learning Corporation. His business and government service gives him a distinctive blend of skills to relate to employees, frontline supervisors, CEOs, and government officials. With more than 27 years of management experience, he has earned a reputation for leading organizations and people through change, aligning business strategy and employee behavior, improving per-formance, and developing employee and customer loyalty.

Earleen Warner, M.A.
EARLEEN WARNER is the reference librarian and library instruction coordinator at Bethel University. She holds a bachelor’s degree in history with a minor in English literature and German from Bethel, as well as a master’s degree in library science from the University of Minnesota.
Earleen has been employed at Bethel since 2003 and has taught MBA online seminars. Past positions include library assistant at the University of Minnesota, head librarian at the Willmar Public Library where she was involved in the renovation and addition to the library, and reference librarian at Dakota County Technical College.

Jim Warner, Ph.D.
JIM WARNER is a senior consultant with Personnel Decisions International (PDI). He consults with organizations to ensure their talent is aligned with their vision, mission, and values. Jim partners with top leaders to identify critical roles and behaviors that address present and future business challenges, as well as barriers to the implementation of organizational processes. Jim has held positions at Norstan and Control Data Corporation. He founded and led an organization development and human capital consulting company with Fortune 1000 and government clients in Canada, Eastern Europe, Latin America, Southeast Asia, and the United States.
As a volunteer, Jim has created strategic plans for food processing businesses in Haiti, India, Russia, and Vietnam. He is an adjunct faculty member at various universities. Under a Federal grant, he authored a small business management curriculum used in community colleges in a number of states.
Jim holds a B.S. in adult education and applied economics, and an M.A. in Education and Ph.D. from the University of Minnesota.

Steve Whiting, M.S.
STEVE WHITING is a full-time faculty member of the College of Arts & Sciences at Bethel University. He teaches undergraduate courses in Information Technology and Business Problem Solving.
Steve has over 18 years of management, consulting, and information technology experience. Before coming to Bethel he was a program manager for Electronic Data Systems (EDS) where he managed a team of IT consultants, programmers, and analysts supporting a wide variety of clients. Prior to his work with EDS, Steve served in the U.S. Air Force where he managed the acquisition and development of numerous computer modernization programs.
Steve holds an M.S. in Engineering Management from the University of Dayton, an M.A. in Pastoral Counseling from the Minnesota Graduate School of Theology, and is currently pursuing an M.Div. from Bethel Seminary. He holds a B.S. in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from North Dakota State University.

Mary Whitman, DBA
MARY WHITMAN is the program director for the MBA program at Bethel University. She also teaches research and statistics at the master’s and doctoral level. Mary has extensive experience in the development of adult education programs, serving as a program director of a graduate program at another university and consulting with several online universities.
Mary has over 20 years of experience in management positions in business, government, and the nonprofit sector. She is a member of the Academy of Management and the Society of Human Resource Management and has presented at numerous conferences. She has served as a consultant to many organizations in the areas of human resources, team building, and change management.
Mary earned her bachelor’s and master’s degrees from the University of Minnesota and her doctoral degree from the University of Sarasota (now Argosy). Her areas of research include the management of expatriates and repatriation in global companies. She has worked with 3M, Honeywell, Medtronic, and Bell Helicopter Textron. Mary enjoys international travel with her husband Dennis, as well as swimming, reading, and hiking.

John Wright, MBA
JOHN WRIGHT is Director of Investor Relations at The Toro Company where he is responsible for representing Toro to the investment community. Prior to his current role in Investor Relations, John was Director of Marketing for the Golf Business at Toro, where he was responsible for leading product development, marketing communications, production planning and industry relationships.
John earned his B.S. in Mathematics from Wheaton College and then worked in Marketing at the IBM Corporation. After completing his MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University, John worked in Brand Management at General Mills before joining Toro.
John serves on the grant committee of The Toro Foundation and on the board of Calvin Christian School. He and his wife Rosalind have two children.
