Katie Bonawitz

Education: B.S., St. Cloud State University; M.A., Bethel University

Experience: Katie taught in K-12 education for 12 years. She has been an associate professor in the Special Education Department at Bethel for 3 years. She is currently completing a doctor of education degree from Bethel in Special Education Administration.

Julia Dreyer

Education: B.S., St. Cloud State University; M.A., University of St. Thomas

Experience: Julia has taught as an adjunct instructor at Bethel for 2 years. She teaches 2 courses in the Special Education program.

Peg Gaitan

Education: Ph.D., University of Minnesota

Steve Kaatz

Education: B.S., Concordia Teachers College; M.S.E., University of Wisconsin; Ph.D., University of Minnesota

Experience: Steve teaches 5 courses in the Special Education program. He holds a master's degree in learning disabilities and a doctorate in education policy and administration. He has written a number of articles and reviews for the Minnesota Council on Exceptional Children and other educational publications.

Michael Mignard

Education: B.A., Cedarville University; M.R.E., Grand Rapids Baptist Seminary; Ph.D., Trinity Theological Seminary

Experience: Michael has a Ph.D in Curriculum and Instruction: Distance and Adult Learning. He taught for 22 years in K-12 education and has been teaching at Bethel for 8 years. He has conducted numerous presentations at K-12 schools.

Susan Schwope

Education: B.S., B.A. Moorhead State University; M.S., Moorhead State University

Experience: Susan has been teaching for 9 years in the Special Education program as an adjunct instructor and has taught for 15 years in K-12 education. She holds an M.S. degree in psychology.

Lisa Silmser

Education: B.A., Bethel College; M.Ed., Bethel College

Experience: Lisa has taught for 7 years as an adjunct instructor in the Special Education program at Bethel and taught for 14 years in K-12 education. She teaches or co-teaches 3 courses in the Special Education program.
